What is it?

cncvac is an RF transmitter, that will trigger iVac dust collection systems and blast gates. I made it as the companies current products do not meet my needs.

It uses an isolated input, which runs off a logic signal from 5VDC to 24VDC, to control your vacuum. It will work on any PLC, VFD, etc as long as you can control that signal when you wish.

To prevent any additional noise, the device does not need any power to be run to it - it uses two AA batteries. Under regular use (many times a day), alkaline batteries should last a year or so. Rechargeable NiMH should last even longer (2-3 years).

It has an external uFL connector, to use external antennas for better RF performance. This will require micro-soldering to switch from the built-in antenna to the external antenna. If you cannot do this yourself, please contact me to discuss this service further for a cost. Unless you have a massive shop, with a big distance between this transmitter and the iVac receiver with your dust collector, you should be OK.

Instructions

Set your system ID and tool ID accordingly. This must be done with NO power going to the device. If you have the batteries in, remove them for 30 seconds. The DIP switches are only checked once when the device receives power, and used for all transmissions afterwards. Changing the DIP switches without removing power for 30 seconds will not work.

Carefully respecting the positive and negative connections on the screw terminal, connect your PLC/VFD/etc signal to the device. (cncvac does have reverse polarity protection for the screw terminal)

When the signal goes high, the device will transmit packets to turn on your dust collector. When the signal goes low, the device will transmit packets to turn it off.
